NCIS star shares cryptic message with fans amid season 20 filming

NCIS star Brian Deitzen shared a positive reminder to fans on Thursday that working hard and being nice will get you everywhere in this world.

Brian, who stars as Jimmy Palmer, the team’s Doctor and Chief Medical Examiner, took to social media to share a picture of the motto he has hanging in his office.

“Work hard and be nice to people,” it reads and Brian captioned the post by writing: “Rule #1 followed by the other rule #1. Newly hanging in my office, and I love it. Have a great Thursday.”

Fans were quick to praise the rule, while one joked that “this is not the Gibbs rules,” referencing the way Jimmy’s former boss Agent Jethro Gibbs approached his line of work.

Brian is currently filming the upcoming 20th season of the hit CBS show, and fans have been jumping on social media clues to discover what they may see taking place.

Over the last year, Michael Weatherly – who left the show in 2016 – has repeatedly sent NCIS fans into a tailspin by sharing throwback photos of his time on the show as Anthony ‘Tony’ DiNozzo alongside cryptic captions, sparking hope that he is keen to return.

To add even more fuel to the fire, Michael wrapped up CBS legal drama Bull in May, which means that his schedule for the upcoming TV season is looking nice and vacant, meaning that he could be in the perfect position to make his return – and NCIS executive producer Steven D. Binder is on board with the idea.

Speaking to TV Insider in May, he was full of enthusiasm when asked about a DiNizzo comeback. He said: “I absolutely would love to do something like that. That’s going to depend on Michael Weatherly.”

The show will return this September

As he explained: “The last conversation I had with him was that he’s going to take some time off and rest because he went from a very difficult schedule on NCIS to headlining his own show for six years, through COVID.”

However, he left things on a positive note, adding: “I can say that I consider him a friend, so it’s not a difficult conversation to have with him. It’s just a question of whether or not it works out.” —
