Is Fornell returning in NCIS Season 20?
NCIS Season 20 premieres in less than a week. Who will we see back on the series? Will Tobias Fornell get any time to help the team?
There is no doubt that we’re ready for NCIS to return. Season 20 is going to kick off with the cliffhanger left at the end of Season 19. Gary Cole’s character, Alden Parker, is on the run. He’s been framed for m****r, and it’s up to the team to get to the bottom of it.
One character we see come in for big episodes now and then is Joe Spano’s Tobias Fornell. It would seem like without Gibbs there’s little need for him, but that’s certainly not the case. Will we get to see him come back this season.
Will Tobias Fornell be in NCIS Season 20?
What are the chances of Fornell coming back? Is there a storyline without Gibbs being around?
Parker made it clear at the start of Season 19 that he knew Fornell. In fact, it was Fornell’s words about Gibbs that made Parker stop the chase and let Gibbs go off into the sunset. So, it’s easy to say that the two are friends and Fornell will be worried when Parker goes on the run.
Of course, Fornell is likely to step in to help the team find his friend. He’ll know a little more about Parker’s history, which seems to be connected to the recent case. After all, Parker’s ex-wife is somehow involved, and it’s the ex-wife Parker is currently with. Fornell will know whether to trust her or not.
We’ll get to see Fornell sometime in the NCIS Season 20 premiere. There’s a group shot with some of the NCIS: Hawaii team (it’s a two-episode crossover) with Joe Spano there. So, we’re definitely going to get to see Fornell at least once this season.
