Former NCIS star Pauley Perrette shares rare glimpse of home life post retirement

Former NCIS star Pauley Perrette is enjoying life away from the spotlight with the greatest companions one could ask for.

The former actress’ last acting gig was a 13-episode run on comedy series Broke, before which was her most known and beloved role as quirky forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on NCIS, which she starred in from 2003 – its very first year – until 2018.

The star has since claimed that she has officially retired from acting, though she remains active on social media, and every now and then provides fans glimpses of her life at home.

Such was the case over the weekend, when Pauley took to Instagram to share a sweet post about  her adorable fur babies.

Sharing cute snaps of her three dogs, she wrote: “Usually we don’t know when our #RescueDogs birthdays are… But #April1 is all of my #NotoriousRBG #rescues birthday!”

Though the initials RBG typically stand for the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, for Pauley they stand for her dog’s names, Rosie, Bug and Grace.

She further explained in her caption: “We know because the twin’s mom was a pregnant dump at our #DogRescue. They were born there…”

Pauley added: “And Little Miss Rosie was born with a billion health problems, so we at @amandafoundation got her as a baby, and she was mine to take back and forth to surgeries (still am!)”

The actress’ alleged on-set rift with Mark is rumored to be why she left the show

“So Happy Birthday to my #rescuedog ANGELS!” she then endearingly wrote, adding: “And God gave us one of the first sunny days in months just for them! They loved it!”

Pauley’s fans followed suit with more birthday wishes for the three pups, writing in the comments section under the post: “They all look so happy with their smiling faces. Happy Birthday to Rosie, Bug and Grace. God bless them and may Rosie conquer her health issues,” and: “Oh my favorite puppies!!!! Happy birthday!!” as well as: “Happy Birthday to all your rescue angels,” plus another fan added: “Your dogs are so cute. Happy birthday to them.”
