NCIS star Michael Weatherly Causes A Fan Frenzy by Sharing A Rare Family Photo

Tony DiNozzo took to social media to share a photo from his and his family’s vacation in Mexico with his followers.

Michael Weatherly is no stranger to inciting a frenzy among his social media followers, whether it’s teasing a possible return to CBS as NCIS legend Tony DiNozzo or flaunting his new moustachioed look. His most recent update is a heartwarming one in which he shared a rare photo of his adorable family.

Weatherly shared a photo of his wife, Bojana Jankovic, and their two children, Liam and Olivia, on Twitter on Saturday.

The family has traveled south of the border to spend some time relaxing in Tulum, Mexico.

“Greetings to people of Earth from Tulum, Mexico,” the former NCIS star captioned the photo.

“The family has witnessed the beauty and wonder… Now I’m trying to figure out if @Graham Hancock has any excellent ancient civilizations that I can visit!”

It didn’t take long for fans to share their reactions after seeing the family looking happy and all smiles in the snap.

“Enjoy the fantastic places and the genuine hospitality!” said Marcella Pagano on Twitter.

While @brownstone185 said, “Beautiful family!!!!!” “When are you going to be back on television?”

“Enjoy the Mayan Culture and the Cenotes,” Rachel Enever advised elsewhere. “Happy Weatherly Family holiday.”

While @joan96588691 was curious about a possible return to screens, they tweeted: “Beautiful! Spending so much time with your family, I’m sure they’re overjoyed to have you around.

“However, your fans would love for you to return to television, whether it’s a new or old show.”

The desire for answers about Weatherly’s TV return has been strong since the CBS legal drama Bull ended after six seasons.

After leaving the role of Tony DiNozzo to take on the role, Weatherly led the hit series for six seasons.

However, now that his work calendar has been cleared, rumors of a return to NCIS in season 20 have been circulating.

And Weatherly has done little to dispel the rumors, even implying that Tony and on-screen love interest Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) could return.

On New Year’s Day, Weatherly responded to a fan’s wish for Ziva and Tony to return to the show.

He tweeted at the time for them to “stay tuned” as 2023 could be a “interesting year for such moments”.

However, there has been no official confirmation that Weatherly or de Pablo will be returning to NCIS.
